Abstract: This paper is essentially an exposition of the scope and principles of motion picture apparatus, relevant to the amateur and the home and equally applicable for use in industry, scientific, and educational work. Photographs of the apparatus and mechanism and drawings of the principal features are given to show more clearly the work done in endeavoring to embody compactness, simplicity, lightness, practicability, and economy. The principal features in this instance are discussed at length. In general, the paper constitutes a comprehensive answer to the problem of “Motion Pictures for the Home.”
