- Abstract
- The U.S. Navy's expeditions to Antarctica as well as its Arctic operations over the past several decades have cast a new light on cameras, techniques and “winterization” of equipment. This paper discusses the Navy's use of still and motion-picture cameras in cold weather and their application on Operation DEEPFREEZE.
