Abstract: The process of mechanical translation involves four main steps: (1) coding the source language for input data; (2) producing a word-for-word translation; (3) translation of sentences and phrases; (4) output of complete translation in target language. Machine translation is possible for foreign versions of motion pictures. Development of an automatic print reader presents a challenging problem in the field of motion-picture and television engineering.
