Abstract: Methods of recording, editing and mixing live dialogue, sound effects and music in industrial film productions vary greatly. One method is outlined and the conversion from optical sound recording to magnetic sound, with a minimum of new equipment is described. Parallel techniques are followed using 35mm soundtracks for both 16mm and 35mm photography.
