Abstract: [At each Semiannual Convention the Society's President customarily addresses the Society on matters accomplished, pending and projected. The President also introduces the Convention's opening luncheon speaker — see the next page. Also there are observations about the planning and programing of the Convention at hand; President Simmons' remarks related to the 86th Convention have been embodied in that story in the latter portion of this Journal. His general address is excerpted below.]
