Abstract: A switching circuit has been designed to produce a doublet impulse transition of 0.05 μsec. The problem of clamping a color signal during the burst interval by means of crystal diodes is discussed and a solution presented. Nonlinear amplification of the switching data prior to regenerative clipping has been found to permit dependable switching with much smaller brightness changes.
