A Stereophonic Sound System for 16mm Films

Abstract: A method is presented that would allow two- or three-channel stereophonic sound with 16 mm films without loss of image area for the picture. Two basic manners of recording and reproducing stereophonic soundtracks are discussed. Problems concerned with editing film breaks are presented, and their solutions are offered.
