Abstract: In This paper I want to discuss some of the problems confronting the exhibitor of motion pictures. These problems do not strictly concern motion picture engineers, yet it is the business of the exhibitor to present to the public the result of your labors. Having been connected with the industry less than two years, I feel much more free to express opinions now than I shall later when I know more about the subject. After all, the membership of this organization is composed of men who are each specializing in some particular line of the work; the exhibitor has the advantage of a more general, if more superficial, view of the art. The subject is almost unlimited in its scope. As it would be futile to try to cover it in one paper, I shall confine myself to the question with which we are immediately concerned. Next year will probably find us working on other problems.
