Abstract: This paper sets forth technical data indicating that in magnetic recording on 35mm film, high sprocket-hole modulation is encountered in the area between 50 and 100 mils from the sprocket holes. The paper suggests a change in the proposed ASA standard for 35mm sound track placement.
