Abstract: The approach to the problem of lighting control equipment design resolves itself into two basic areas, that of switching and that of dimming. Switching involves the ability to connect any lighting loads in the studio to any dimmer. Dimming involves the ability to modify the intensity of any of the lights in a convenient manner. This paper describes some of the equipment and methods by which this is accomplished.
