- A design philosophy for a pulse distribution amplifier is developed. It is concluded that the time between leading corners of the two transitions of a pulse should be preserved, and that pulse delay — measured at a level arbitrarily close to the base of the pulse - should be independent of input rise time. A technique for reforming pulses in the desired manner is presented. A solid-state, two-output pulse distribution amplifier incorporating this technique is described.
