Abstract: Although the use of television as a means of instruction in medicine and dentistry is long past the experimental stage, there are still many areas where its potential has not been fully realized. Some applications suggested in this paper include continuing education for physicians to keep them informed of current developments in medical science; group therapy; observation of controlled experiments; and undergraduate instruction. It is suggested that video-tape records be maintained for purposes of research and analysis.
