Abstract: With the advent of the one-inch format videotape, there has been an increasing growth in the use of closed-circuit TV techniques in management training influencing a number of major corporations to build into their corporate headquarters small TV facilities. Some basic criteria upon which to base decisions in planning the TV facility are proposed. The design of the TV studio is related to what the camera sees, budget considerations for lighting control systems, production equipment, rigging, draperies and scenic elements. The interior treatment of the TV studio may provide built-in scenery for flexibility of the studio if it is compatible with the television system. The basic production requirements of the studio proper as well as such ancillary areas as control room, make-up and dressing rooms, scenic and property storage areas are defined.
