Abstract: A new diver-operated underwater 16mm motion-picture camera has been developed with particular emphasis on human engineering and ease of operation. Designated the DBM 9–1, it is based on the DBM-9 developed in the early 1960s. The new camera has an improved hydrodynamic shape, is neutral buoyant and can be adjusted to plus or minus 1-lb (0.45-kg) buoyancy. The camera uses the Leitz 6.6mm lens system which corrects for underwater distortion.
