Abstract: The preselection method, which permits sound track negative that has been exposed and rejected to be salvaged and used again, is discussed with particular emphasis on the economies achieved at Warner Bros. Studios by applying the method. Large savings in film and laboratory costs have been made possible without investing additional funds in equipment or changing the ordinary recording, processing, or editing routines in the slightest degree.
