Abstract: Three models of the Adastra 8mm moving-picture camera were shown at Photokina, 1963, in Cologne. These cameras are particularly suitable for amateur photography. This paper describes the special features of the Adastra system and gives the reasons for their development. These features include film-chamber reversion, sectional construction and separate assemblies, the drive mechanism and the theory underlying it and the miniature regulator.
