A New Television Switching Equipment using Uniselectors

Abstract: With the growth of television there has been an increasing demand for larger and more sophisticated switching equipment. The use of relay or semiconductor matrices is not economical in cost or space with increased size of equipment. In a search for an alternative switching element, the choice fell on the standard type of Post Office uniselector or stepping relay. The unit and its advantages are described.
