Abstract: An optical printer has been designed around a commercially available camera and projector. Among the special features are a belt-drive mechanism, variable-speed drive motor, an electronic programer which controls both the camera and the projector, an automatic fader, and a large, specially designed optical bench. Modular construction permits rapid changes in format and convenient access for repair and adjustment with minimum down-time.
