Abstract: EVolutionary OPerations (EVOP) is a manufacturing operation system, the goals of which are to produce an acceptable product at minimum cost; and to secure information from the process which will lead to optimum operation. The EVOP system involves making very small changes in process variables by statistical design. A photographic processor is used as an example, the variables being machine speed and developer temperature.
