Abstract: The Joint Committee on Intersociety Coordination represents the EIA, IEEE, NAB, NCTA, and SMPTE. The JCIC meets upon call from any of the member organizations to discuss specific subjects which may involve the other members and may warrant joint action, either by a statement of policy or initiation of an appropriate committee activity. Since 1968 three Ad Hoc Committees have been set up; these are study committees for Color Television, Television Broadcast Ancillary Signals, and Television Sound.
