Abstract: An infrared time-lapse photographic method is proposed as a tool to investigate tunneling of Tribolium (flour beetles). Integral to the method is an eighth-inch thick transparent Plexiglas cage, in which flour and flour beetles are placed, and through which infrared light is shone. Tunnels are recorded on 16mm infrared film.
