Abstract: Printing 4-hole standard anamorphosed prints from 2-hole original negatives requires an optical printer that prints directly from the negatives and which contains an automatic device for special effects (dissolves, fade-ins, fade-outs), light changes and starting and stopping. The device is electronic and controlled by perforated tape and can be fitted to any optical printer to automate and speed its operation.
