Abstract: The Edmonton CBC television studios were installed in 1962 with the accent on unattended and automatic operation using a minimum of staff. Present facilities include a 2-camera studio, a single remotely controlled camera studio, two videotape recorders, two telecines and two mobile units. The single operator master control position has now been automated using the “Chronolog” system. The advantages (and disadvantages) of this system in a television operation of this size are discussed in the light of two years of experience with it.
