Abstract: Attention is directed to the fact that projectionists work in sound-proof rooms and must rely wholly upon an observer for graduations in sound volume. Wide variations in the density of variable-density sound-tracks occur in various scenes of productions. Under such conditions consistently good sound reproduction is often impossible in the theater, especially with one-man projection rooms. Steps should be taken to remedy the condition in order that the projection may do full justice to the efforts of the producer.
