Abstract: This paper defines the various factors that arc involved in photographic exposure control. The relationships of these factors arc developed under special and general conditions. The importance of the key-light intensity and relative location of source is shown. A formula for determination of setting of camera exposure controls is developed. Practical application of the fundamentals to the design of photographic exposure meters is discussed.
