Abstract: The advent of television has accelerated the need for refinements and improvements in the art of the projected motion picture in theaters. The factors of cinematography, theater location, seating capacity and theater design have to be dealt with in accordance with circumstances which already appear to call for a fresh approach to the problem. It is important to evaluate the ability to adapt existing theaters to the new requirements.
