Abstract: THE ANSWER to the general question, “Are we educating by television?” is a definite “yes” despite much skeptical insistence to the contrary. As an educator, I should be standing before you with my head bowed in shame if the answer were anything else. Educators today have no choice in the matter, and we would be derelict in our duty if we failed to accept our fair share of responsibility to see to it that this newest medium of mass communication is used for something more than entertainment.
