Abstract: Computer technology now provides an alternative to the traditional system of notching motion picture film to insure proper handling during processing. Du Art Laboratories has developed a system which utilizes a minicomputer for processing from the negative room through timing, printing, and into print correction. The use of computer technology, coupled with a sophisticated frame counting technique, makes film timing and cueing easier and safer, reducing film handling and lessening the possibility of scratches or errors.
