A New Development in Autostereoscopic Photography

Abstract: A new stereo photographic system, not involving the use of any form of individual viewing device, is described. A special type of spherically lenticulated film, or equivalent screen-film combination, is used. Photographs produced by the new system exhibit parallax about both the horizontal and vertical axes, in which respect, therefore, they resemble holograms. Due to simplicity of operation, the process is particularly suitable for the amateur photographer, but other useful applications in science and industry can be foreseen.
