Abstract: This article describes a new type of arc light source. The Brite Beam 1200-W PAR 64 lamp is a powerful new tool for the lighting engineer. The lamp combines the color, the color rendering, and the efficiency of the Brite Arc lamp with the advantages of a dimensionally precise sealed-beam reflectory. Together the lamp and fixture are lightweight and easy to use. The beam is easily changed from a very narrow spot to a wide flood. These features add new flexibility to studio, theater, and TV use.
