- Abstract
- This paper details the deliberations of the AES in proposing recommended standards for Digital Audio Signal Interfacing, an important emerging technology. Many areas of consideration are outlined, and specific, part-by-part performance requirements are given, as well as overall performance levels. A detailed account of past work in the field, meetings of the AES, and future considerations are given. Two specific proposals are listed in the article: one is by Sony/Studer/EBU, the other by Mitsubishi Corp.
