Abstract: An efficient, inexpensive editing-control, data-collection system has been developed that automatically collects data from an off-line 3/4-in. video-cassette in half the usual time and files the data on a floppy disk which controls the on-line VTR editing system. It has proven useful for editing programs that lack predetermined editing plans, such as documentaries. The system reduces time and manpower and helps prevent errors.
