The paper explains both the benefits of film sourced material and some of the pitfalls that can occur when considering methods to transfer film images to DTV. The issues of both Widescreen Films and Widescreen TV are covered as well as the matter of whether to generate a single digital (video) master or provide individual telecine transfers for each standard.",
