How can we leverage these properties to improve the fiber installation process and make it easier to adapt to changing facility needs? A new infrastructure / installation technology called “Air Blown Fiber Infrastructure” facilitates this approach. Using a point-to-point network of high density tubes as a highway, 3000 ft. of 24 strand-fiber can be jetted (installed) from source to destination across a facility in just 30 minutes. Once the tube network is in place, changes can be made at a fraction of the time and cost of conventional fiber networks, without disruption to the network or the facility.
