The marketplace for Autostereoscopic 3D devices displaying entertainment and special-purpose 3D content is immense. This paper examines various methods and commercial technologies currently employed to present Autostereoscopic images. Specific attention will be given to the development and optical requirements of a unique, cell matrix/parallax barrier technique that is currently providing high quality, glasses-free 3D in personal display applications. Content preparation requirements for this display will be reviewed along with future 3D content delivery approaches.
