RMIT is still the leading engineering school within Australia and provides training within these areas. Lecture will provide examples of how different countries have converged to digital broadcasting at their own rate. For example, the diamond project in Canada, its dependence upon the digital Eureka 147 broadcasting system and how this has influenced their broadcasting training programs. Also the BBC their course structure for broadcast engineering, the difference to Australian requirements and how they are tackling training for beyond 2000.
