        "bio": "Jamal Baina received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Metz University in 1992. Since then, he has been an engineer at the Broadcasting and Radio Communications Research Center of TéléDiffusion de France, in the signal processing department. His fields of interest are low bit rate image and video coding, the conception of algorithms combining compression and image processing (i.e. digital television, quality evaluation, road traffic control by image analysis) and the design of multiprocessor machines dedicated to image processing. Since 1994, he has been involved in the technical management of Quovadis and Mosquito ACTS projects concerning the quality of service for audio and video signals in digital television. Baïna is the author of various technical papers and holds several patents. In 1993, he received the National Scientific Academy of Metz Award for his work in the field of image coding. He is an active member of several standardization groups, including ITU-T SG9, ITU-R JWPIO-11Q and the Video Quality Expert Group.",

        "bio": "Gabriel Goudezeune graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France in 1981. He joined the communications subsidiary of Thomson-CSF in 1982 as an R&D engineer in digital communications systems. His main interests were in the fields of satellite communication modems and adaptive processing (filters, antennas). In 1989 he became head of the transmission signal processing group mainly involved in R&D tasks concerning digital modems for HF transmissions and for satellite transmissions and speech coding, especially low bit rate vocoders. In 1996 Goudezeune joined TDFC2R as manager of the digital signal processing department. His fields of interests are audio and video signal processing aimed at perceptual quality measurements, audio and video watermarking, and digital communications for broadcasting or wireless applications.",
