    "abstract": "A method is described for optical printing motion-picture film by the use of a projection gate that immerses the film in a liquid of matching refractive index. This permits highly specular printing illumination since scratches and surface irregularities on the film have relatively little optical effect under these conditions. Experimental trials of this method have been carried out using Eastman Color films at a speed of 90 ft/min.",
