    "abstract": "This paper will first look at the traditional applications in the areas of video, HDTV, film and print, and how they are historically inter-related. The technological advances of each will then be studied, and the trends in inter-discipline relationships examined from a technical stand point. The creative aspects of mixing media will then be discussed, and the advantages and pitfalls looked at in some detail. Finally an extrapolation of current trends will be carried out, and illustrations of what is possible today, and tomorrow, will conclude the presentation.",
