Beginners can use simple 8mm equipment to develop ability, whereas production practice with 16mm or 35mm equipment may be prohibitively expensive or require technical skills the beginner does not possess. Techniques learned with 8mm can be transferred to the planning and production of 16mm and 35mm motion pictures.",
