    "abstract": "The results of a survey of film teaching, conducted in 1959 and 1960 at the ten leading college film production centers, are reported. Data were gathered by personal interviews with 105 instructors and 10 administrators of the film teaching programs. Eleven subject areas, such as cinematography, writing, and directing, are analyzed from the point of view of what is taught, how it is taught, and how student achievement is evaluated.",
