    "abstract": "Stratoscope II is a large and complex balloon-borne astronomical telescope operated in the stratosphere by radio command. This paper describes the television system developed for this equipment to permit the astronomer to see through the telescope for the purpose of acquiring the astronomical objects to be studied. Results of the instrument's first flight are briefly described and plans for future flights outlined.",
