    "abstract": "The many problems pertaining to the equipment of a motion picture theater are discussed, and the author offers the suggestion that the S. M. P. E. organize and maintain a service bureau to which theater owners and managers may address the many problems encountered in operating their theaters, with a view of receiving clear and intelligent answers unbiased or prejudiced by manufacturer's influence. Among the problems referred to are those connected with sound reproducing apparatus, screens, ventilation, booth equipment, film mutilation, size of picture, acoustics, care of film, savings of electrical power, seating, etc.",
