    "abstract": "As one of the events of the Fall, 1937, Convention at New York, N. Y., a demonstration of stereophonic sound with pictures was given in the auditorium of the Bell Telephone Laboratories. A special motion picture had been shot and recorded with twin sound-tracks, which were reproduced through separate channels by loud speakers located at the sides of the screen. So far as is known, this was the first public demonstration of stereophonic sound in conjunction with motion pictures.",
