    "abstract": "The method of measuring the resolution characteristic (or “spatial spectrum”) of kinescopes with electrically generated sine-wave patterns has proved to give consistently accurate data at all beam currents varying from a few microamperes to several milliamperes. It is independent of the phosphor decay time and can therefore be used for measurement of color kinescope performance including the effects of misregistry. The ability to measure the response at very low “optical” (or spatial) frequencies gives numerical information on the haze and large diffusion disk surrounding the spot nucleus.",
