    "abstract": "When the Television Committee of the Society of Motion Picutre Engineers, at its meeting on Sept. 18, 1944. studied the recommendations of the Radio Technical Planning Board on frequency allocations for experimental television, it was considered that these recommendations did not explicitly incorporate the needs of the motion picture industry. Thus it was decided that the Committee should take steps to insure adequate protection of the future requirements of theater television by making specific requests for the necessary channels at the Federal Communications Commission hearings in October, 1944.",
