It is the author's hope that by bringing before you the most important improvements in this branch of Motion Picture Engineering, you would have a better understanding of the problems involved and should any member contemplate the construction of such an equipment he could at least derive some benefit by learning of the experiences of those who pioneered in this particular branch of the Motion Picture Industry.",
