    "abstract": "This paper deals with the problem of establishing a method for the commercial production of slides which will give good and reliable reproduction on TV chains aligned to an accepted and recognized standard, such as the SMPTE Test Film. It describes the production method developed by a Canadian firm, Williams & Hill, Ltd., based on a series of experimental tests made with the cooperation of the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. The tests were carried out on chains aligned to the SMPTE Test Film, and the slides used were specially produced for the purpose.",
