    "abstract": "Lighting for BBC Outside Broadcasts has developed over the last twenty five years to the extent that well over 50% of all productions transmitted live or recorded by mobile camera units are lit by artificial sources. The problems associated with the high incident light levels for color cameras are reviewed and the increasing use of metal halide luminaires with their high efficacy as means to solving this problem is described. This advancement in technology is particularly relevant today, heightened by escalating costs and the world energy crisis.",
