    "abstract": "THE introduction of sound pictures necessitated the redesigning and reconstruction of projection rooms as the space allotted to this department is inadequate even in many of the newest theatres. It will be well for architects in future to be fully informed regarding the requirements of a modern projection room. In many instances it was necessary to demolish walls which conform to fire regulations and construct new ones with similar restrictions. It is obvious that this meant much work, expense, loss of time and interference with the work of the projectionist.",
